I liked this strip a lot, even though it's just a filler. Gets kind of introspective, which is good sometimes. And the dreams beggining with turtles... Heh, weird and fun.
It didn't seem to me like the walk took so long, tough. That middle panel looks a lot like moonlight, not daylight. |

My guess is that he might meet Momo.
No not that Momo, the other Momo, the little Italian girl who is friends with a talking tutle.
What better place to men the men in grey then on the fields of grey?
Raik would probably enjoy their company, it doesn't seem like he is someone who normaly wastes time on such frivolous activities as art, music, or conversation. _________________ Why don't you go throw rocks at it? |

Ipno, you're right. It does look more like moonlight. _________________

Hey hey, Erik. neat strip, even though it's filler...and it also made me wonder.
I'm a bit interested in the symbolism of things appearing in dreams...so I wondered..what does the turtle represent? did a Google search for Dream Symbolism and found a site that speaks about what turtles are.
I was wondering, is this groundwork for a future storyline?
(I'll post what the site says about turtle-dreams, but I can't find anyway to spoiler cover it, in case it will be touched on in the future.)

Welcome aboard, Taaron!
The turtles will be explained in a later episode, but let's hear what you think.
Make the font colour white for spoiler text:

Thanks, Erik! Tried making it white earlier, but wasn't sure if it'd cut it.
Anyways, the couple of sites that I visited to find out the symbolism says:
(Possible Spoiler Text Ahead!)
Site 1:
To see turtles in your dream, suggests that you will make slow but steady progress. You need to slow down and pace yourself. Alternatively, it indicates that you are sheltering yourself from the realities of life.
To dream that you are being chased by a turtle, indicates that you are hiding behind a facade instead of confronting the things that are bothering you.
Site 2: Opportunity for advancement is available to you. You have secret enemies around.
Site 3: Turtles signify the odd and the unusual in your life and if you dream of seeing one you will have an odd incidence befall you and the good or the bad of it will have to be gleaned from the entire dream and the emotions expressed in it. Turtles are considered a good luck symbol as well as a symbol of long life and good health. Also the term 'duck soup' tells you if something is easy to accomplish, especially if you are drinking it.

In the world I am from, there is a book called Momo, it is written by Michael Ende.
The lead character is a little girl called Momo.
Her world is beset by the Men in Grey who steal time from people.
She befriends a Turtle (who can see 30 minutes into the future) and sets off to defeat the Men in Grey and restore the stolen time to the world.
While that is my favorite work by him, his most famous is The Neverending story. _________________ Why don't you go throw rocks at it? |
