Perils of the Bold #25

Annotations

Panel #1 - New set item: the door! Yes, I know it's overwhelming, but I'm sure the dedicated fans will be able to recover from the debilitating bedazzlement such a shocking addition causes. For those of you still conscious, the door and bar are made from HirstArts bricks (wooden plank mold #20). The black hinges and bar supports are made from black Sculpey and attached to the door/wall with Handi-Tac.

Panel #4 - The chain is from a MegaBloks set. The manacle and wall ring (attached to the wall and chain with Handi-Tac) are made from silver Sculpey.

Panel #9 - The fiend's roawr is the same Photoshopped text image from episode 14, resized, reoriented, and recycled. We believe in the environment here at AFC. (In fact, why not visit this site and help save the endangered tree octopus?)

Kamik's original line was "I bet it'd give its left tentacle for an opposable thumb about now." However, I realized that the fiend already has opposable pincers. So it's not really the lack of an opposable digit that is causing him problems. It's the imprecision of his pincers (which are much better for squishing heroes than they are for manipulating manacles). So, I changed it to "fingers and thumb". I think the original line might be a bit funnier. Hmmm....
