Perils of the Bold #67

Annotations

Panel #1 - This the same image as panel #9 from episode #66. I liked the image, and it helps the reader realize that absolutely no time has passed between the episodes.

Panel #2 - Is that surprise or fear in the ranger's larger eyes? I also reveresed the focus from panel #1. There, it was the orc's imminent attack that was important. Here, it's the ranger's sudden realization that he's imperiled.

UPDATE - Panel #4 and #5 - After I posted episode #67 I got a message on another forum that the original panel #4 was disorienting, because it didn't have the same background as panel #3. That is, the corner vanished. I never really liked panel #4, nor the flow of the original panels #3 through #6. So, I decided to change it. I reshot panel #4 and changed it to panel #5. I also rescripted the second orc's dialog in the reordered panel #4. The episode #67 shown above is the re-edited version (with new panels #4 and #5), which I think flows better and has more humor. The original panels #4 and #5 are shown below:

Original panels #4 and #5

Panel #9 - The first panel with the entire orcish horde! All 9 of them. On the left you can see the feet of the orc the ranger just killed.
