Comment on Episode #162.

Panel #2 - For those of you who wanted some insight into where writers get their material: While I was working on another episode of PotB I was also watching the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Captain's Holiday." That's the one where one of the better guest characters, Vash, was introduced. Anyway, in one scene she says something like "it's in some subterranean caverns 20 kilometers from here." My immediate response was: "Subterranean caverns? As opposed to above ground caverns?". And that's where this little joke for Franch the lumberjack comes from.

Panel #7 - This panel was shot on my back deck.

Panel #9 - Another shot on my back deck. This one was a major pain to shoot, because the lighting was difficult. The natural sunlight looked fine to the eye, but the photos kept coming out too dark. I had to use reflectors and different camera setting combinations before I finally got one that was acceptable (on the 14th take!).
