Yes, this is two full page panels in a row. But, I couldn't help it. I wanted the previous episode to really show off the new custom I made so his dastardlyness would shine through in full size. And, here I want there to be no doubt that Vayla is in a giant new forest - and of course I need a full page to do that!

When I originally conceived of the heroes' dream sequences I was looking forward to doing some different kinds of sets. Dundorious in the clouds started out fun, but by the end it was getting too tedious to do all the digital post -production work to paste him and Samar onto the clouds. Using the Zuzzy game mat for Raik's dream made seting up the set as easy as unrolling the mat. Now, with Vayla's dream, I get a chance to go "on location" and film in the great outdoors, which is also pretty fun.

The woods shown here are in a park near my house. I took several photos of Vayla with many different trees. This one came across as the best indicator that she's in a forest of giant trees. Of course, just like my new comic Dark Omen Dawning, this location shooting outdoors means I am at the mercy of the weather. It's starting to get dark up here in Washington, so I can only shoot until about 4pm. So, I'm crossing my fingers that I'll have good weather this weekend and I can hopefully shoot several episodes in one day. Just a warning though, weather may delay some of these episodes.
