Comment on Episode #014

Annotations

Episodes #11 and #12 were very cramped with all the dialog going on. I didn't like how it looked. The images were constrained and small. Since the Sigma 6 action figures are so richly detailed, I thought I'd change the format of the Weirdscape comic to better display them. So, I'm switching from a 9-panel standard to a 4-panel standard. This will give me more room to place text, and more opportunity to show off the figures and the forest. Standard sized panels will be the size of panels #1 and #2 in this episode. Let me know what you think!

I spent 3.5 hours on Saturday in the park near my house taking 131 photos for the next 10 episodes of Weirdscape. That's about 21 minutes of photgraphy per episode. Much more efficient than PotB. I got a lot of very good shots. I even had to alter the script so I could use more of them (as you'll see in episode #19). So, 10 episodes are now in the can.

You might be wondering what Lewinski is holding in panel #1. Those are big-eyed spectacles. Aahz suggested that, after seeing Lewinski and Duke go all big-eyed in episode #12, I should have them take off big-eyed glasses. I thought it was a great, weird gag. It might not be obvious enough, but it is supposed to be understated. I soldered the spectacle rims together from copper wire, and the eyeballs are Sculpey.
