Annotations

So, you don't usually see bad guys, especially cannon fodder like Battle Android Troopers, coming up with innovative ways to defeat the heroes. Usually, non-standard battle plans are the province of the heroes, or the primary villains. That always struck me as odd. Instead of always bluntly making frontal attacks with one strategy, why doesn't that faceless Jaffa*, Jem-Hadar**, or Stormtrooper*** ever do anything else other than just shoot at or try to stab the good guys? Because they are there just to be mooks****. I always thought it would be fun to have one of the ubiquitous and indistinguishable mooks surprise everyone and actually be a threat to the heroes.

And, in case you hadn't noticed, this B.A.T. has been quite a problem for our 3 heroes. In the standard GI Joe universe, B.A.T.s get mowed down by the Joes. But, not here. Not good.

* Score 10 Geek Points if you knew that Jaffa are the Goa'uld worshipping soldiers from Stargate SG-1.

** Score another 10 Geek Points if you knew that the Jem-Hadar are the Founder-worshipping soldiers from Deep Space 9.

*** Lose 300 Geek Points if you don't know what Stormtroopers are.

**** Mooks is a term used, in RPGs and other games, to identify the easy to kill enemies that the players must fight before getting to the boss.
