Perils of the Bold #151

Comment on Episode #151.

Annotations

Panel #2 - Meet Claude-René, Kreex's chef, and a creature constructed out of various body parts and organs and reanimated using arcane arts black and foul. Some might call him a flesh golem, although he has numerous mechanical parts.

For Claude-René, I used a lightly customized Xevoz action figure, Frankenpunker, with the hands of a Xevoz Thunder Shaman (painted to match, of course).

You can see more of Claude-René behind a couple of the vote buttons.

Panel #4 - I replaced the Frankenpunker hands with the Thunder Shaman hands to enable more expression. The Frankenpunker hands have articulation only at the wrist, while the Thunder Shaman hands have each of the four fingers articulated, enabling nice poses such as the one shown here.

The Kingdom of Rouebonne is renowned for its great cheeses, wines, chefs, and mimes.

Panel #6 - Claude-René is much larger than Kreex, and getting them both into the same panel is difficult. Here you can barely see the poor little kobold.

Panel #7 - Handsome stud, isn't he? Claude-René has beady little eyes. I'm not sure I like them. I'll experiment some this weekend with other eyes and I might change them.

UPDATE: I played around with the eyes and updated them in the episode above. They used to look like the image below:
